Bioscope – I [Bengali]




During my high school and college I was a huge movie buff and specially from Bollywood but later years I fell for English and the movies shown in the festival circuit. Slowly the craze died down yet often when some good one came along tried to make a little space to watch it. Top 5 Bengali movie I have seen

1.  Pather Panchali (1955)

2.  Meghe Dhaka Tara (1960)

Writer:             Shaktipada Rajguru
Cast:                Supriya Choudhury, Anil Chatterjee, Niranjan Ray.

Ritik Ghatak never got the due and the same for this masterpiece but in 1999 he remembered in Pusan Film Festival and given him the following award.

Apur Sanasar was the final chapter of Satyajit Ray's Apu Trilogy,. In Apur Sansar Satyajit Roy introduce two new faces  Soumitra Chatterjee played Apu and Sharmila Tagore and rest was the history.
